Creamy Garlic Mushrooms Recipe

Mushrooms are a contentious vegetable for some reason. They resemble marmite on the vegetable front. People either hate them or like them. Even some devout vegans and vegetarians are scared to consume them!

They find it off-putting, I believe, because of their chewy, almost meaty texture. Yes, I understand that. However, mushrooms are incredibly nutritious vegetables to add to your veggie drawer if you already eat a plant-based diet.

Instructions to make Creamy Garlic Mushroom Recipe:
  1. In a skillet, melt the butter and olive oil.
  2. Add the mushrooms and cook until browned on all sides, around 5 – 7 minutes.
  3. Add the fresh minced garlic, heavy cream, cream cheese, fresh grated parmesan, onion powder, and oregano, and cook until the sauce is thick and creamy and coats the mushrooms.
  4. Salt and pepper to taste, then garnish with fresh parsley on top.

Ingredients needed to make the Creamy Garlic Mushroom  Recipe:

  1. Two tsp butter
  2. One tablespoon of olive oil
  3. Eight minced garlic cloves
  4. Whole baby bella mushrooms, 8 oz.
  5. One-third cup heavy cream
  6. Two teaspoons softened cream cheese
  7. Grated parmesan cheese, freshly ⅓ cup
  8. One-half teaspoon of onion powder
  9. ¾ teaspoon of dried oregano, salt, pepper, and fresh parsley, to taste, as a garnish

Instructions For make the Creamy Garlic Mushroom  Recipe:

  1. After giving the mushrooms a thorough rinse and drying them, melt the butter and olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the mushrooms and simmer for 5 to 7 minutes, or until browned.
  3. Cook for five to ten minutes, or until the sauce is thick and creamy, after adding the garlic, cream, cream cheese, Parmesan, onion powder, and oregano.
  4. To taste, add salt and pepper.
  5. Serve with a fresh parsley garnish.
