Serves: 2–3

Ingredients

For the Steak

250–300 g sirloin, ribeye, or flank steak

1 tbsp olive oil

½ tsp salt

¼ tsp black pepper

½ tsp paprika

1 tsp olive oil

For the Pasta & Cream Sauce

200 g (about 7 oz) pasta (fettuccine, penne, or spaghetti)

1 tbsp butter

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 small onion, finely chopped

1 cup heavy cream

¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

½ tsp Italian seasoning or dried oregano

Salt and pepper, to taste

1–2 tbsp pasta water, as needed

Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

1. Cook the Pasta

Bring salted water to a boil and cook pasta according to package directions until al dente.

Reserve 1–2 tbsp of pasta water, then drain and set aside.

2. Cook the Steak

Pat steak dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.

Sear steak 3–4 minutes per side (depending on thickness) until browned.

Add butter to the pan during the last minute for flavor.

Remove, let rest 5 minutes, then slice thinly against the grain.

3. Make the Cream Sauce

In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium.

Add butter, garlic, and onion (if using). Saute for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.

Pour in cream, Parmesan, and Italian seasoning.

Simmer for 2–3 minutes until thickened. Add a splash of pasta water if needed.

Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.

4. Combine Everything

Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss to coat.

Add sliced steak on top or mix it in gently.

Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan.

Notes & Tips

Use sirloin or flank steak for the best texture.

Add mushrooms or spinach to the sauce for extra flavor.

Swap heavy cream for Greek yogurt + milk for a lighter version.

For a spicy twist, sprinkle chili flakes before serving.
