Tips for Success
1. Use high-quality wonton wrappers: Fresh or frozen wonton wrappers will yield a better texture than dried ones.
2. Don’t overcook the wontons: Cook the wontons until they float to the surface, then remove them immediately to prevent overcooking.
3. Adjust the spice level: Add more or less Sichuan peppercorns and chilli oil to suit your desired level of spiciness.
4. Use a flavourful broth: Use a high-quality chicken or pork broth as the base for added depth of flavor.
5. Add aromatics: Add ginger, garlic, and green onions to the broth for added aroma and flavor.
