2 cans (5 oz each) tuna, drained

½ cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)

1 large egg

¼ cup mayonnaise

1 tsp Dijon mustard

½ tsp garlic powder

½ tsp onion powder

½ tsp salt

¼ tsp black pepper

½ cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese

2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)

1 tbsp lemon juice

1 tbsp olive oil (for frying)

1. Prepare the Mixture

1. In a large bowl, mix drained tuna, breadcrumbs, egg, mayonnaise, mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, cheese, parsley, and lemon juice.

2. Stir until well combined and the mixture holds together. If too dry, add a little more mayo; if too wet, add extra breadcrumbs.

3. Cook the Patties

4. Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.

5. Cook the patties for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy.

4. Serve & Enjoy

6. Serve warm on their own, with a side salad, or in a sandwich with toasted bread, lettuce, tomato, and extra cheese.
