Storage:

Storage Store: Fresh air fryer toast is best consumed immediately out of the air fryer. For up to two days, leftover toast can be kept in the refrigerator in an airtight container.

Reheat: To melt the cheese and crisp the bread, you may reheat leftovers in the air fryer for a few minutes.

RECIPE CARD

  1. Two bread slices
  2. One tablespoon of softened butter
  3. One spoonful of mayonnaise
  4. Half a teaspoon of Dijon mustard
  5. 1/4 teaspoon powdered garlic
  6. 50 g of grated mature cheddar

Guidelines;

  1. Set the timer for ten minutes and preheat the air fryer to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Combine the mayonnaise, dijon mustard, and garlic powder in a small bowl and stir until thoroughly blended. Apply a small layer of the mayo mixture on one side of each of the two bread slices. This is the side that contacts the cheese and faces inward.
  3. Turn the bread slices over and brush each other with a small amount of butter. This will contribute to a golden and crispy exterior.1 tablespoon butter
  4. After turning a bread slice so that the mayo is facing you, top it with a mountain of shredded cheese.
    50 grammes of mature cheddar
  5. With the butter side facing up, place the remaining slice of bread on top so that its mayo side touches the cheese that has been grated.
For six minutes, air fried at 180°C (350°F). Use a plastic spatula or tongs to flip, then air fried for a further 4 minutes, or until golden and crispy.

TIPS:

  • Before adding the sandwich, warm your air fryer for a few minutes to make sure it cooks evenly and crisps up. Additionally, it will help to avoid any sogginess.
  • Softened butter makes bread simpler to spread and aids in its crispy, golden brown finish. Remove the butter from the refrigerator a few hours ahead of time to allow it to soften.
  • When air-frying bread, the buttered sides should always be on the outside.
  • Use cooking oil spray in place of butter and reduced-fat cheddar to create a healthier, lower-fat cheese toastie baked in an air fryer.
  • You can use cheese slices instead of the grated cheddar.
  • Use only freshly grated cheese. It is typically covered with an anti-caking chemical, which could change the dish’s final texture.
