500 g beef sirloin or beef strips

Instructions
Step 1: Cook the Jasmine Rice
1. Rinse jasmine rice until water runs mostly clear.
2. Add rice, water, bay leaf, salt, and olive oil to a pot.
3. Bring to a boil, then cover and simmer on low for 12–15 minutes.
4. Turn off heat and rest covered for 5 minutes
5. Remove bay leaf and fluff with a fork.
Step 2: Prepare the Beef
1. Pat beef dry and season with salt and black pepper.
2. Heat olive oil and 1 tbsp butter in a wide pan over medium-high heat.
3. Add beef in a single layer—do not overcrowd.
4. Sear for 2–3 minutes per side until browned.
5. Remove beef from pan and set aside.
Step 3: Make Garlic Butter Sauce
1. Reduce heat to medium.
2. Add remaining 1 tbsp butter to the same pan.
3. Add sliced garlic and sauté 30–40 seconds until fragrant (not brown).
4. Stir in oregano and thyme
5. Add beef broth and simmer for 2 minutes.
Step 4: Combine
1. Return beef to the pan.
2. Toss gently to coat in garlic butter sauce.
