Common Questions
Q1: Can I make this ahead of time?
A1: Yes, you can assemble the chicken with tomatoes and mozzarella and refrigerate for up to 24 hours. Bake right before serving.
Q2: Can I use frozen chicken?
A2: Fresh chicken gives the best texture, but you can use thawed frozen chicken. Make sure it’s fully thawed before cooking.
Q3: Can I grill instead of sear?
A3: Absolutely! Grill the pounded chicken for 3–4 minutes per side and then finish with tomato, mozzarella, and basil in the oven or under a broiler.
Q4: What should I serve with this?
A4: This pairs wonderfully with garlic mashed potatoes, risotto, pasta, or a crisp arugula salad
