Marinated Tomato and Onion Salad
This recipe is light and nutritious yet still flavorful, making it ideal for summer.
A few months back, I was searching for fresh ways to spice up my lunch routine and came across this recipe. This recipe appealed to me since it is so easy to prepare, requiring just a few ingredients and little time.
I begin with gathering all the necessary components, which include cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, vegetable oil, distilled white vinegar, sugar, and salt and black pepper. I then put all the ingredients in a big bowl and whisk in the water, vinegar, oil, sugar, salt, and pepper.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of water
- 1/2 cup of distilled white vinegar
- 1/4 cup of vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup of sugar
- Salt amount to taste
- Black pepper freshly ground, amount to taste
- 3 cucumbers peeled and sliced into 1/4 inch pieces
- 3 tomatoes cut into wedge-shaped pieces
- 1 onion sliced and separated into rings
Guidelines:
- Bring all the ingredients together.
- Combine water, vegetable oil, distilled white vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper in a large mixing basin. Blend the contents
- well with a whisk.
- Toss in the wedged tomatoes, chopped onion rings, and sliced cucumbers. Until every component is covered equally, stir.
- Put the bowl in the fridge for at least two hours after covering it with plastic wrap.
