Ingredients For Air Fryer Bananas – Easy Caramelized Bananas:

Instructions For Air Fryer Bananas – Easy Caramelized Bananas:

  • Set your air fryer to 390°F, or 200°C, before using.
  • Removing the peel and cutting the bananas lengthwise. Each banana should be cut in half.
  • Brown sugar and cinnamon should be combined in a small mixing basin. Set this away.
  • Brush each slice of banana with ghee (or melted butter) using a pastry brush.
  • After laying a sheet of foil inside the air fryer basket, move the slices over to it.
  • Over the banana slices, scatter the cinnamon-brown sugar.
  • For seven minutes, air fry at 390 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius); do not turn them over during this time. Remove the air fryer basket when the air fry cycle is complete.
  • You might wish to air fried the bananas for an additional two to three minutes to caramelise them if you are using underripe bananas.

NOTES: The degree of ripeness of the bananas you use will affect the outcome slightly. For quicker caramelization, use overripe bananas (yellow with black patches). These bananas are softer and slightly mushy. If you prefer your bananas firmer and slightly crispier, use just-ripe bananas.

Recipes Variations For Air Fryer Bananas – Easy Caramelized Bananas:

Leave Out the Sugar: To prepare a healthier version of air fryer bananas as a dessert substitute, just leave out the brown sugar and air fry the bananas without any additional sugar. The bananas’ natural sugars will caramelise, but their flavour will remain sweet on its own.

How to provide for them:

  • Ice cream pairs wonderfully with air-fried bananas to create a decadent delicacy.
  • Top pancakes or waffles with caramelised air fryer bananas, maple syrup, and almonds.
  • Add some peanut butter and air-fried bananas on your toast for breakfast.

Savoury Air Fryer Bananas: The air fryer may also be used to make savoury bananas. Utilise underripe bananas, cut and peel them, toss them with salt, pepper, and olive oil, then air fried them for seven minutes at 390 degrees. In the middle, flip them. Crispier bananas will come from this version.
