Ingredients (Makes 4 Calzones)
For the Dough:
1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
1 tablespoon olive oil (for brushing)
For the Filling:
1 cup cooked chicken, shredded or diced
½ cup Alfredo sauce (store-bought or homemade)
1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
¼ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
¼ teaspoon black pepper
¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
For the Egg Wash (Optional):
1 egg, beaten with 1 tablespoon water
Instructions
1. Prepare the Filling:
In a bowl, mix together cooked chicken, Alfredo sauce, mozzarella, Parmesan, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
2. Roll Out the Dough:
Divide the pizza dough into 4 equal pieces.
Roll each piece into a 6-inch circle on a lightly floured surface.
3. Fill & Seal the Calzones:
Spoon ¼ of the filling onto one side of each dough circle, leaving a ½-inch border.
Fold the dough over the filling and pinch the edges to seal.
Use a fork to crimp the edges for extra security.
4. Air Fry the Calzones:
Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
Lightly brush the calzones with olive oil or egg wash.
Place in the air fryer basket (do not overcrowd).
Cook for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and crispy.
