Crispy Baked Feta Rolls with Garlic Honey Glaze, Fresh Herbs & Golden Phyllo
Ingredients
For the Feta Rolls
200g feta cheese, cut into small rectangles
6–8 sheets phyllo pastry, thawed
3 tbsp unsalted , melted (or olive oil for brushing)
1 tsp dried oregano or thyme
Salt & pepper to taste
Garlic Honey Glaze
3 tbsp honey
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp lemon juice
Optional: pinch of chili flakes
Garnish
Fresh parsley, chopped
Toasted sesame seeds or crushed walnuts (optional)
Directions
Prep phyllo: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lay one phyllo sheet flat and brush lightly with melted butter. Layer 2–3 sheets, brushing each with butter.
Assemble rolls: Place a piece of feta at the edge of the layered phyllo. Sprinkle lightly with oregano, salt, and pepper. Roll phyllo over the feta tightly to form a small cylinder. Repeat with remaining pieces.
Bake: Place rolls on a parchment-lined baking tray. Brush tops with butter and bake 15–18 minutes until golden and crisp.
Prepare glaze: While rolls bake, heat honey in a small pan over low heat. Add minced garlic and lemon juice, simmer 1–2 minutes. Remove from heat.
Finish & serve: Drizzle warm garlic honey over baked feta rolls. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and optional sesame seeds or crushed walnuts. Serve immediately.
