Steamed Salmon with Fresh Veggie Medley

Steamed Salmon with Fresh Veggie Medley

Ingredients:

For the Salmon:

2 salmon fillets (skin on or off)

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 lemon (sliced)

2 cloves garlic (sliced or minced)

Fresh herbs (like dill, parsley, or thyme – optional)

For the Veggie Medley:

1 cup broccoli florets

1 cup cauliflower florets

1 medium carrot, thinly sliced

1 zucchini, sliced

1 red bell pepper, julienned

Olive oil (for drizzling)

Salt, pepper, and herbs (like Italian seasoning or fresh basil)

Instructions:

1. Prep the Salmon:

Season salmon with salt, pepper, and a few lemon slices.

Add minced garlic and herbs on top for extra flavor.

Let it marinate while prepping veggies (optional for ~15 minutes).

2. Steam the Salmon:

Use a steamer basket or bamboo steamer over simmering water.

Place salmon in the steamer, cover, and steam for 8–10 minutes, or until it flakes esily with a fork.

You can place lemon slices under and over the fillet for more flavor.

3. Cook the Veggies:

While salmon is steaming, lightly steam or sauté the vegetables until just tender (around 5–7 minutes).

Optional: After steaming, toss veggies with a bit of olive oil, salt, pepper, and herbs.

4. Serve:

Plate the steamed salmon alongside the fresh veggie medley.

Drizzle with a little olive oil or fresh lemon juice for brightness. Tips:

Want extra flavor? Add a splash of soy sauce, ginger, or a drizzle of sesame oil for an Asian-inspired twist.

Prefer roasting? You can roast the veggies at 400°F (200°C) for 15–20 minutes instead.
